Our logo captures who we are in such a tiny, beautifully designed icon!
The globe represents our focus on understanding the political world. The axis tilted toward the Middle East and East Africa represents our regional starting point at Sage.
Most importantly, the spade represents our tireless focus on strategy and skill. A spade is traditionally associated with strategic card games, such as poker, spades, or hearts. These games have an element of luck or surprise, as does the political world, but you cannot master them without knowing strategy and developing skill. The same is true for political analysis. We eschew luck, opinion, faux expertise, and rhetoric. We celebrate skill. We want to professionalize the world of political analysis with rigorous standards and accreditation. In a metaphor, we want to move political analysis from a world of medicine men to a world of doctors. We welcome you on the journey!
